The metrics suggested in this Process serve to guide the development of issues to be undertaken during the
Usability testing. These questions will be used to collect data and obtain conclusions about the applied evaluation.
Some of these metrics consist of:
Understanding / Learning - shows whether the participant learned by using and / or understands what language
models represent.
Ease of use - shows the difficulty experienced by the participant to perform the task.
Effort / Completion time - time used to complete the task.
Perceived Complexity - identifies whether the language can be easily used for the purpose it proposes.
Completion Rate - number of tasks performed.
Task Error Rate - number of errors made while performing the task
Efficiency - can be measured by the number of tasks performed divided by the time used to perform them.
Efficacy - subjective measure serves to identify if language actually represents the domain to which it was
proposed.
